Induction hobs

Induction heats the pan itself rather than the surface. That is where the speed, the precision and the easy cleaning come from.

What to check

  • Cutout size — the worktop cutout differs from the hob’s outer size — order the worktop only after choosing the hob.
  • Pan compatibility — the base must be magnetic: if a magnet sticks, the pan works.
  • Zone type — a full-surface hob takes a pan anywhere; a flex zone joins two areas into one.
  • Power and phases — larger hobs often need three-phase power — check with an electrician first.
  • Width — 60 cm is standard, 80–90 cm fits more pans at once.
