PVD-coated kitchen sinks

PVD is a metal layer bonded to the steel in a vacuum — not paint or lacquer, so it does not peel or wear away.

What to check

  • Durability — the coating is harder than the steel beneath it and resists scratches better.
  • Colours — copper, gold, black and graphite are the common finishes.
  • Matching — the same tone is often available for the tap and soap dispenser.
  • Care — as for ordinary steel — soft cloth, no abrasives; dark tones show water marks more.
