Short answer. 2026's kitchen launches share three themes:
- appliances that sense and decide (sensor cookware, AI cooking assistants, load-recognising dishwashers);
- kitchens where the technology disappears (hob extraction, flush and handleless ovens);
- water and sink systems that replace bottled water and bring warm colours and metallics to the sink.
1. Appliances that sense: Miele at IFA 2026
- M Sense (in our range): Miele's sensor cookware communicates with the induction hob, so food doesn't boil over or burn. Our range already includes the Miele KM 8895 FL Diamond & M Sense, a 90 cm full-surface induction hob. See Miele induction hobs
- KMDA 8000 hobs with integrated extraction (announced): a new generation of extractor hobs. The flagship KMDA 8683 FL is Miele's first extractor hob with M Sense.
- CulinaryCoach (announced): an AI assistant in the Miele app that helps get the settings right for a Miele oven. Launched first in Germany and Austria; not yet available in Estonia.
- G8 Diamond dishwasher (announced): Miele's first dishwasher with an AI camera, which recognises how it is loaded and the type of crockery, then chooses the programme settings. No availability date for Estonia yet.
2. The first new Gaggenau oven design in about 20 years
In our range: the Expressive series (stainless, handleless, 60 and 76 cm) and the Minimalistic series (flush, in Onyx or Sterling), with matching combi-steam ovens, combi-microwaves, coffee machines and warming drawers. Read our Gaggenau range guide.
3. Extraction that disappears: EuroCucina 2026
Milan's EuroCucina focused on the "invisible kitchen". Falmec's concept, Mimesis (announced), hides extraction in the hob or the worktop: hob-extractors, downdraft units, and hoods with air-quality sensors that detect VOCs and formaldehyde. Falmec says these arrive from autumn 2026.
- In our range today: Falmec Polar round wall and island hoods, Virgola No-Drop built-in hoods, and hobs with integrated extraction from Miele, Gaggenau and others. Hobs with extractor · Downdraft hoods
4. Bigger integrated fridges: Liebherr at IFA 2026
Liebherr showed new XL/XXL fully integrated fridges, 194 cm tall, with up to 100 litres more space than a standard 178 cm column.
- Status: announced. Ask us about availability.
- Useful if you plan a new kitchen: a 194 cm niche must be designed into the tall cabinet from the start.
5. Sinks: warm colours, metallics and bigger ceramic bowls
- Systemceram MERA (in our range): MERA 57, MERA 57 F (flush-mount) and MERA 50 U (undermount). Systemceram has announced MERA 57 XL, a 56 cm bowl for a 60 cm cabinet, and a new warm colour, Greige. Ceramic sinks
- Blanco at Küchenmeile (announced): the VION sink in stainless steel and the new Velgranit composite; Durinox in gold and platinum; new colours sahara sand and olive grey.
- Franke Mythos Masterpiece (in our range): sink and tap sets in Gold, Copper and Anthracite. Kitchen taps
6. The tap that replaces bottled water
Multi-function taps now deliver filtered, chilled, sparkling and boiling water from one spout.
- In our range: the Guglielmi PURA family, with filtered, sparkling and 100 °C water in 2-in-1 to 5-in-1 versions, plus filter cartridges and CO₂ cylinders. Filtered, sparkling and boiling water taps
7. Waste sorting built into the sink cabinet
- In our range: Blanco SELECT II systems for 45, 50 and 60 cm sink cabinets, including Orga versions. Blanco announced a larger SELECT II BIG at Küchenmeile. Read the waste sorting guide.
What this means if you are planning a kitchen now
- Decide extraction early. Hob extraction and downdraft need space in the base cabinet and a plan for recirculation.
- Tall cabinets: check the new niche sizes (194 cm fridges, 76 cm ovens) before the cabinet drawings are finalised.
- Water: a multi-function tap needs space under the sink for the filter, the boiler or CO₂, and a socket. Plan it together with waste sorting.
We will update this page as announced products reach our range.
